Randomness

Today is the first day back for the Dutch from a long weekend. They get a holiday for Easter (as in a day off) and it’s Resurrection day. Most shops are closed, except for Furniture and gardening/Home Depot type places. Funny that. So yesterday was a quiet day at the office where I spent most of the day catching up on web stuff, spam at work and fighting with IMAP and ssl certificates. Nothing really productive, but still enjoyable.

Today at lunch I decided to go to DHL to send out the check for the new whip and it cost 60 euro!! to send to Germany. They don’t offer any options besides ASAP so it wasn’t like I could try and slow it down and save money. You can FedEx from NYC to LA for $30 but try sending a check and some papersa few hundred KM away and it’s almost $100. I could DRIVE there in 3 hours and drop it off. Sigh.

Mom’s still in town.. spent the weekend in France and Belguim and Thursday we’re doing the tulips and the windmills.. then she’s off. Good times.. lots of great pictures.. more to come.
